The building of enabling partnerships between the sub-region and Ireland informs the work on behalf all concerned.

Our membership derives the opportunity to be more closely linked with key business and decision makers in both territories for the benefit of promoting trade and commercial cooperation.

IWABEC is closely linked with the relevant authorities in the Commissions at the regional levels (EU & ECOWAS) and more importantly with national authorities and business leaders. It has been involved in Ministerial visits, business delegations promoting awareness and facilitating trade and investment through its services. The Council strives to achieve within the shortest possible time, a completely dynamic multilateral economic cooperation, and mutually beneficial commercial relationship between Ireland and the resource rich countries of the ECOWAS. Some of the activities for members and selected guests include Breakfast, luncheons and Dinner speaking events by dignitaries in cooperation with stakeholders.

Diversity

Our growing corporate membership is drawn form a wide range of companies including manufacturers, exporters, construction, produce importers, Oil & Gas prospecting and services, financial services, business advisers, tourist agencies, public sector, and higher education and training.

Our regular events provide a forum for meeting other business people with interest in promoting commerce between Ireland and West Africa. IWABEC is strongly supported and have direct access to ECOWAS countries representations in Ireland and the other overseeing missions in other EU countries in United Kingdom, France and Belgium.

We operate 3 categories of membership:

Patron Pioneer Member – As a Patron Pioneer Member your company is featured on our website, publications and provided a visible brand display at all our events, with access to all events for company and their invited clients. Pioneer Patrons are invited into The Council of Governors.

Corporate Membership – Annual Corporate Membership provides you with unlimited access to our online and offline resources and events, including the provision of all business services at 20% discount.

Individual Membership – Exists with website access and guaranteed events invitation and business support.
